Tomorrow I am embarking on new territory. I will be a true soap opera fan! Thanks to my tickets to see Tyler Christopher tomorrow in Point Pleasant, NJ, I will be attending my first ever fan event to see the "Prince of Port Charles".  I will get to see the actor who plays one of my all time favorite characters in person, and will hopefully have the pictures to prove it. 

Even though I have been watching General Hospital off and on since before Luke & Laura's wedding in 1981, I have never been to a fan event. I watched it religiously until life started to get in the way (yeah, I had to get a JOB), and then would tape some, watch some, but it wasn't until the introduction of a DVR to my area that I was back to being a fairly loyal viewer.

The writers still annoy me by ripping some of my favorite couples apart, or having a dead character be revealed as the TMK (WHY did the TMK have to be Diego instead of LOGAN??) but I for one will always want to know what happens next.

My child will be entering this new territory with me (and has watched with me for a while). I hope the event is as exciting as the anticipation of it for both of us!
